On march the 11th Saturday 2017 my family and I went to the beach but as we were passing the beautiful view at the beach we saw a lot of people on the other side picking up rubbish and they had red and green gloves on and each of them had a big black plastic bag. My dad told us to stop the car and ask if there was any way we can help them. Dad got out of the car to ask the person in charge if we could be of help. The man replied that it would be excellent so my dad called out to my siblings and I to come down and help pick up the rubbish. The man in charge walked over to us, he gave us red/green gloves and a big black plastic bag each. Another man from their group called out and said we need to hurry before the tide comes in so we had to collect all of the rubbish as fast as we could because the tide was coming in. It took us an hour and a half to pick up all of the rubbish. In total there were 40 big black rubbish bags. So before we left we helped load a big white truck up with 40 rubbish bags. The group were really happy they had extra help. My family and I said our goodbyes and carried on with our day at the beach.

Step up Highlight

last week the year 7 participated in the step up activities while the year 8 were on camp. The activities that we did was Cup stack, Hockey, soccer, netball, cooking, Art posters and more. Our teacher split us into different groups and I was in the group called 1b.

My favourite highlight was the cup stack. My team went up agaisnt the year 8 and and the other year 7 groups. Four of us were selected by the leaders to play and the aim of the game was the first team to create a pyramid with cups and stack them altogether gets 200 points and the loudest cheering gets 300 points.

The reason why it was my favourite highlight because my team kept on winning.
